Inspiration

I have always been a creative person & I just always thought that creative ideas would just come to me, and before this they had. I never had any problem just thinking of a piece or artwork & driving myself to making it, most of the time I would spend hours sketching stuff out in my sketchbook because I had so many ideas filling my brain.

Lately now that I have been trying to come up with ideas for OTHER people it's been quite hard to find this inspiration. People have their own ideas in their mind and their own vision & they try to explain to me what they want and then I have to comprehend what they are talking about and paint that. It has not been an easy process but as I go on I can only hope I am getting better at it.

One of my all time favorite artists who continues to inspire me is Dallas Clayton, his bio reads "I WRITE KIDS BOOKS AND DRAW PICTURES AND TRAVEL THE WORLD SHARING THEM WITH PEOPLE AND HAVING FUN." which pinpoints exactly the person he is. His Instagram is filled with bright, fun, hilarious little prints that radiates joy. When I feel down or lost, I turn to his work to inspire me. Not only does he have such kind & positive words, but his bright illustrations sums what I see art as.

I see art as a way to change the world, art is so powerful! I never realized how powerful art was until I realized I wanted to use art to change the world. We see art every single day, we use art every single day, we create art every single day whether its drawing, painting, stories, writing, interior design, exterior design, computer design, etc. Literally everything is art whether you realize it or not and that completely blows my friggin' mind.

So I hope this is your inspiration as Dallas Clayton is mine, that hopefully in some way or some mind I inspire you to challenge yourself, to go bigger and more beyond than your wildest dreams, that you can do whatever you out your mind to. That you can create art and what you create has the potential to change the world. Also, be sure to check out Dallas Clayton's work- it is beyond words!! Hit his name in the 3rd paragraph to be redirected to his website.
