First off I just want to say thank you for visiting my site! Although I am only 17 years old I have big big BIG plans for my future & I am hoping this will be one of them! All my life I have always loved art, I have loved to draw & paint as long as I can remember! A few years ago when I was in middle school I painted acrylic paintings a lot, it was a stress reliever for me & I loved doing it. That Christmas every single one of my family members received an acrylic painting (haha)! As much as I loved art I was not a fan of art classes- I didn't like the idea of being told what I need to paint or draw and then get graded on my work; it was intimidating & uncomfortable so I steered away from taking art classes until my junior year of high school.
This past year I took an advanced art class for an art credit because it was required & my expectation of art classes was completely wrong. I had an amazing teacher who really had a passion for art and was surrounded by students who challenged me to take risks with my art which I had never really done before. One of our projects was to do a watercolor of our own house and I fell in love with watercolor from this! I had never considered doing watercolor prints, but I was hooked on it. Watercolor is so playful and unpredictable- it goes where it feels like.

I've always been a Pinterest lover and I love reading scripture- I came across this thing called a journaling bible. You basically take a part of the scripture and make it creative, I was inspired by Illustrated Faith and many other bloggers. I used watercolor & colored pencil for a majority of my images, but I learned I really enjoy lettering. People have always told me I have good handwriting and I wanted to expand that. I practiced my lettering and handwriting skills and used them in my journaling bible. I got into prints specifically because I saw people selling them over Etsy and Pinterest for about $20-$30 a piece. I am going off to college in the next year and unfortunately my family doesn't have billions to pay my college tuition. I wanted to combine my love for art & watercolor into something that could help me do this in the future! I'm not exactly sure what I want to do career wise but I do hope that I could possibly go to art or design school to expand my talents.
